What customers say?

“ This restaurant located inside Mitsuwa in their food court specializes in donburi (rice bowls). The food is delicious, but dining in at the food court is always a stressful experience at peak hours and their new self-serve order kiosk is slow. FOOD The onion, garlic beef bowl is phenomenal in flavor. The karaage is juicy and tender, but it does not have a thick, crunchy breading though if that is a consideration. ATMOSPHERE Food court has limited seating so weekend peak times can be chaotic. I'd advise choosing a less popular time/day or possibly order for take out. SERVICE They are decently fast in preparing the food after ordering. The self-serve kiosk for ordering has a delay after ordering and printing out your receipt Texting the receipt option might be the way to go. ”

“ If you don't mind waiting upwards of 15-20 minutes for your food, it's definitely a place worth visiting! The food is so flavorful and fresh, and the prices seem fair. Only con is the wait time, and lack of seating, but that's not really the fault of the restaurant since it's in a food court. Will definitely go again! We had the garlic pork, garlic pork and curry, gyoza, and fried rice. ”

“ During my time in Japan I frequented gyudon fast food restaurants, particularly Yoshinoya and Sukiya. So, a month removed from being overseas, I decided to splurge a bit and come here for the after some shopping at Mitsuwa. Here, they call it a "beef sutadon", but let's not be cute, it's just gyudon with more garlic. Perhaps as a consequence of much higher price versus the dish being served in Japan (~1500 yen vs. $26, accounting for extra portion, cabbage, egg, miso and Pepsi) or more intense seasoning, the quality of American beef won here and the main dish was quite flavorful. Rice was pretty quality too, even better (dare I say) than fast-food gyudon in Japan. The egg (soft and smushed into in a sauce cup) was pretty good addition to the gyudon. It also added a bit of fat to mask the strong salt content that gyudon is known for. However the miso soup was way too strong and the cabbage was pretty glucosinolate-filled (tasting noticeably bitter), so much so that I couldn't eat it. Would I recommend? Absolutely. I'll also be on the lookout for the few other places that have it. But it definitely hit the spot! ”

“ 1 of the 2 go-to restaurants in Mitsuwa I regularly eat from when shopping in my time machine. I call Mitsuwa my time machine since whenever I'm in here, it brings me back in time when I was growing up a navy brat when my father was stationed there from June '80-Nov '87 in Japan. I mostly go with the curry & rice, my wife always has the seafood fried rice and we always share the gyoza. Delicious food at decent prices if not a bit pricy because of the rise in food supply prices and employee minimum wage. Food is always hot & fresh, service always friendly but seating is limited and we're always waiting to jump all over a table when ppl are leaving. ”
